New Hall Water Mill and the meadow field are privately owned although surrounded by the New Hall Valley Country Park. They are only open to the general public on specific Open Days or by prior arrangement.

Admission

Mill admission is free! Although there is no charge, collection boxes are positioned at various locations around the site. Donations from visitors are very welcome as the mill depends upon these to assist towards the costs of maintaining and running the mill for your pleasure and enjoyment.

The Mill, the Stable Gift Shop and Exhibition, and the Tea Room are open from 10 am to 4 pm.

• Last entrance and sales 3.45 pm.
• The 'Home Bell' is rung at 4.00 pm.
• Please note that the Guide to New Hall Mill, ice creams and other items are only available for purchase until 3.45 pm. Credit cards are acceptable for payments.

Disabled Access

The Mill is located across a well-compacted gravel covered yard. The Stable Gift Shop and Exhibition, the Tea Room, and the Toilet, with its baby-changing facilities, are all wheelchair 'friendly'. Parts of the Miller's Garden should also be accessible, in particular the Flower Border where there is a brick pathway.

Inside the mill, the ground floor including the Engine Room is accessible for the disabled and for wheelchair users with assistance, however the upper floors, including the stone floor and the garner, can only be reached by the stairways.

If you are unable to go upstairs in the mill, a 14 minute video of the mill in operation may be viewed in the Stable Gift Shop and Exhibition, which is accessible by wheelchairs.

Refreshments

Visit the Tea Room for a selection of cakes and hot and cold drinks. Ice-creams are available from the Stable Gift Shop and Exhibition.

Toilets

Toilets are located next to the Tea Room, including one accessible to disabled visitors, and baby-changing facilities.

Dogs

No dogs please, except Assistance Dogs in harness.
